Holistics is an AI analytics platform designed for data teams to set up AI-assisted self-service business intelligence (BI) systems. Its key capabilities center on a programmable semantic layer, where metrics, dimensions, and business logic are defined once in a governed layer. This semantic layer serves as the single source of truth for every dashboard, AI answer, and user exploration. Unlike traditional BI tools that generate raw SQL, Holistics’ AI reasons over this semantic layer, grounding answers in governed metric definitions and making the reasoning process transparent. The platform supports analytics as-code, allowing models, metrics, and dashboards to be defined as code that is reviewable in Git and readable by both the team and AI. It also enables multi-turn data exploration, where context is carried from question to question, handling complex analytical tasks such as running totals, rolling windows, and root cause analysis. Additional features include self-service reporting, dbt integration, canvas dashboards, reusable analytics, and dynamic data sources.
