Speechify

Speechify is a text-to-speech and voice typing AI assistant with over 55 million users. It reads aloud books, PDFs, web pages, and other text using natural-sounding AI voices, and can also type dictated speech as text. The product is designed for a general audience, described as "made for everyone," and includes capabilities such as asking questions and receiving answers, writing by voice, creating a podcast from any document or description in one click, and taking AI meeting notes. It functions as a voice-first workspace for documents and operates across multiple platforms, including a web app, Chrome and Edge extensions, iOS, Windows, Mac, and Android apps. Users can choose from over 1,000 AI voices and listen at speeds up to 4.5x. The Chrome extension reads content in the browser, types as the user talks, and answers questions about what is being read. The iOS app can research, read, narrate, talk, write, dictate, entertain, lecture, quiz, browse the internet, summarize, take notes, and make podcasts. On Windows and Mac, Speechify dictates words and reads aloud across other applications like Slack, Outlook, and Cursor.
